Happy Birthday Flowers

I cased this card from another demonstrator on the demo website - I will have to go back through so I can credit the correct person.  It was a great card to make and was actually much easier to create than it looks.  The flowers are all handmade using 3 x 3 squares of paper!

Christmas Cards

We had our annual Stampin Up Christmas Card Workshop on Saturday to raise money for the Mater Mothers Bereavement Foundation.  It was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time completing the 8 projects!  Even Kaitlyn - my 12 yr old step daughter had a fantastic time and had no trouble at all keeping up with us adults - actually she was working by herself ahead of us most of the time!  Thank you to all my guests for partaking in the event and helping to make the day a success.  It was my first ever teaching event and I loved it - I would also to like to thank Ursula and Jen for all their help on the day - the support and help I received from you both helped me enjoy my day and love what I was doing.

ONE LAST CHANCE!!!!

Well the time has come to make some room in the new catalogue for all the fabulous new products that will soon be released.  As you may know the new 2010-2011 Catalogue is being launched on the 1st September so sadly we need to say goodbye to many much loved items!  Click the link below to see the PDF file - it is fairly extensive.  You will notice that there is a price reduction on some of the products.  If there is anything you need then please call me ASAP as stocks are very limited and from what I have heard about past years they sell out very quickly.  Dont miss out!

Some of my latest creations!

This penguin card was one I cased from Stampin Connection.  It is made from punches and dies.
All papers were Stampin Up – Basic Black, Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie.  Classic Stampin Ink
in Pumpkin Pie was used for the sentiment, as was Heard from the Heart Stamp Set.  To create
the shaped background I used the Bigshot along with the Top Note Die.  The penguins were created
using various circle and oval punches. A fun and easy card to make.

This card has stunned everyone who has seen it.  So pretty.  Again everything used was Stampin Up.
The papers were Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, DSP – Cottage Garden.  Mambo Melon
Ribbon was also used, Rhinestone brads in the centre of the flowers , the 2 step bird punch and the
Eyelet Border Punch.  Stamps used were the Vintage Vogue and the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel.  Ink on
Background was basic black (as this was the only colour I had) and on the flowers (which have been cut
out after stamping) I used Soft Suede and a combination of that and Melon Mambo.  The edges of the
bird have been inked with Soft Suede.

This card is a great example of two step stamping. I used the Vintage Vogue Stamp set, stamped the small flower onto the cardstock and the large flower was cut out and adhered using dimensionals with a rhinestone brad attached. After stamping the smaller flowers I stamped the leave stamp over lapping and random around the bottom and side of card. Very easy and a great effect! All products were Stampin Up - card was Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White, Inks were Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Garden Green, I also used Thank You Kindly Stamp Set and Chocolate Chip Ribbon. I was very happy with the final result.

A fun kids card made using the Dragons and Dreams Stamp Set. I used the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and my Bigshot to create the embossed look on the bottom layer. Cardstock used was Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Not Quite Navy. Soft Suede Ribbon was used. After stamping the image using StazOn Jet Black I coloured using the Classic Stampin Pads - More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Brilliant Blue and Old Olive.

This was a card I made at a Make and Take whilst I was still a "customer". We used the Vintage Vogue Clear Mount stamps and the new "in" colours for the Autumn Mini. Loved making this card. My first ever card where I cut out a stamped image!
LOVE this card. So much fun to make. I used the lovely Eastern Blooms Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set. I stamped the large flower then cut it out. Papers used where Basic Black and More Mustard, inks were More Mustard and StazOn Jet Black. Trio Flowers Punch was used to make the small black flower in the centre and they were attached using an Antique Brad. The small oval punch and scallop oval punch were used to create the background for the sentiment. So easy to make.

I loved this card so much I recreated in a few colours!

Such a simple card to make - only one layer! All Stamps were from the Cottage Garden Stamp Set. I used the Stampin Marker to draw a border to give the layered effect (not too sure it achieved the desired effect though). Papers used where Whisper White and inks were Soft Suede and Chocolate chip. The larger flowers were stamped and cut out and attached using a dimensional with a brad in the middle.

Stampin Up Cards

This card is one of my favorites. I used the Bugs and Kisses stamp set - love this set for kids. Papers used were all Stampin up - Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White, inks were Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss and Brilliant Blue. The sky was created using the daubers and the grass using the aqua painter. I applied Crystal Effects to the worms after stamping to give the lovely glossy finish.

This was probably one of the most intricate, time consuming cards I have made yet. I used the Pony Party stamp set and hand cut the individual ponies which took me hours! Papers used were Orchid Opulence, Whisper white, Pixie Pink, Lavender Lace, I used various inks and the aqua painters to colour the ponies. Again sponge daubers were used with So Saffron Ink and Bashful Blue to create the background colours. I applied Kindy glitz to add the sparkle effect on the ponies and the carousel.

A very simple and quick card but I think it still have the stylish look to it. The Lovely as Trees Stamp Set has to be one of my personal favorites. So versatile and can be masculine with the right colours. I used the Staz On Jet Black, black brads (from the Vintage Brads), Thank You Kindly Stamp Set, Basic Black and Whisper White Card Stock. Very happy with the final result.

10 Great Reasons

Bookings are closing very soon for our much anticipated Christmas Card Workshops. Whilst there are still limited places available, we need to close off bookings, so that we can ensure that the materials that we need to order for you arrive in time. I thought I would take the opportunity to remind you of all the fabulous reasons that you will want to come to one of these events.

1. Number one reason to come to the Christmas Card Workshops
is the wonderful, creative & fun PEOPLE that you will find there.

2. The PROJECTS have been designed to be elegant, simple & repeatable,
using a great stash of Stampin' Up! papers, dies, tools, ribbon & bling.

3. If you have been to a Christmas Card Workshop, you will know we always have
great prizes. This year Stampin' Up! have been extremely generous in their support
and we have well over $1000 of product to give away at each event. Pictured below
are the RAFFLE PRIZES for the Coorparoo Event.

The proceeds from these fabulous raffle prizes ensures we continue to support the Mater Mothers Bereavement Footprints Programme.

4. There is always a great supply of DISPLAY PROJECTS that you are welcome to photograph.

5. The CARD COMPETITION costs 50 cents per card to enter. We would like to see Christmas Cards created primarily with Stampin' Up! Product. Participants in the Workshop will then vote and 3 lucky winners will share in $250 in prizes!

6. Of course, we always have a lovely AFTERNOON TEA to enjoy together.

7. This year we will have a special box at all our Christmas Workshops. We will be collecting Christmas Card Donations for our Australian Troops serving overseas as part of a
'CARDS FOR TROOPS' program. These cards will ensure soldiers are able to send a card home at Christmas to their loved ones. This project is being coordinated for the Paper Angels by the lovely Anna Wheaton who is in turn helping 2 NSW Stampin Up Demonstrators who initiated this idea. So please, do bring along any cards you did not use from last year and we ask please if you can provide envelopes with the cards.

8. We will have SPOT PRIZES during the course of the day

9. COLOR INSTRUCTIONS will ensure you can recreate
your favourite workshop projects at home

More of my older creations

I was very pleased with the result of this Elmo card. Made using the Sesame St Cricut cartridges.

One of my more masculine creations. I used a cricut cartridge to cut out the lettering and coloured the stamped image using chalks.

Pre-Stampin Up Cards

This card was one of my first attempts at stamping and using markers with an aqua brush to blend the colours. I sanded the first layer of the card and embossed the second layer. I was pretty happy with the outcome.

This was a Stampin Up design creation I made but using some of my older cardstock. I created these lovely shoes for Kaitlyn's party gift instead of a traditional lolly bag. I cut the shoe template then applied the Versamark and Dazzling Diamonds, made swirls using the bone scorer and heat embossed to give the faux leather look. All the girls loved this gift.

This was one of my pre stampin cards. I created this card using my Cricut Expression and the Mickey and Friends plus the Mickey Fonts cartridges.
